SECRETS | THE FILM
Secrets is a fashion film I produced and directed for my client monari. It was made for a theatrical release during Christmas 2019 season. I came up with a little 3 act spy story that has a sweet ending to showcase monari’s Holiday Collection. We shot this film simultaneously with the photoshoot in 2 days at a historic hotel in downtown LA. All our beautiful models played a short part showcasing an outfit of the collection. I fell so much in love with the footage that I ended up connecting with a composer and singer I knew to record a score for the film. We even decided to write a part for strings and record it at the legendary EastWest Studio in Hollywood. To put this together on a shoestring budget was a challenge, but I really love this piece.
SECRETS: BEHIND THE SCENES
Watch us record our first original song for the Monari Christmas Film, Secrets, at the legendary East West Studios in Hollywood. We worked in the studio because it let us create an original 60’s sound which matched the production design of the film. Legends like Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, and the Rolling Stones all have recorded here.

Love and Sex are complicated. Men and women are seemingly incompatible. This short film presents the “Shadow of the Third” or what can be described as the otherness that looms outside the boundaries of any relationship. The story explores the difficulties of how men and women relate or create dysfunction in their lives. Misogyny, male dominance, opposed to women’s intuition and solidarity lead to a surprise ending.
